Mevagh Family Resource Centre are hosting a 4 week free of charge Internet Awareness for Parents course beginning on Wednesday 1st February from 7 – 9pm.  This is a short course for parents to help keep your Children safe on the Internet.  Places are limited, so if this would be of interest to you, please contact the centre on 91 55055 to book your place

The Annual General Meeting of Meitheal Mhíobhaigh CTR will be held on Monday 27th February 2017 at 7pm in the Mevagh Family Resource Centre, Downings.  All members of the community are eligible for election to the board of Meitheal Mhíobhaigh CTR.  Nomination papers are available from the Centre.  Individuals must agree to be nominated and will also have to be proposed by an existing Director.  Elections will take place on the night.  All nominations must be returned to the company secretary, Eva Byrne by Friday, 10th February 2017.


 YOGA – classes run a Tuesday evening at 6:45pm in the Mevagh Family Resource Centre.  Beginners are welcome.  If interested, please book directly with Victoria on 087 3297169.

MEVAGH CRAFT GROUP – meet every Thursday morning from 10:30am to 12:30pm in the Mevagh Family Resource Centre.  New members are always welcome.

BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT GROUP – have their meeting every Thursday morning from 11:00am to 12:30pm. This group is led by the Public Health Nurse and is open to all mums-to-be and new mums who are interested in breastfeeding.

BUSY BEES PARENT & TODDLER GROUP is an informal group which provides an opportunity for young children and their parents/carers to meet from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in the Resource Centre.  Cost is €3 per family.

Other Notes:-

Mulroy Academy Soccer, Fanad will have their club’s registration evening on Sunday 22nd January at 7pm in Rosnakill Resource Centre. This registration is for U8-U16 players who will be participating in Donegal Schoolboys League competitions for the 2017 season. The total fee is €30 which covers the €25 DSL fee and a €5 fee for the club to cover insurance costs. All new players and volunteers are always welcome!
